WE BELIEVE

BIBLE

We Believe, the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. We believe that the Word of God is verbally inspired in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original documents, infallible, and God-breathed. (2 Timothy 3:15- 17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)  We believe that God spoke in His written Word by a process of dual authorship. The Holy Spirit so superintended the human authors that, through their individual personalities and different styles of writing, they composed and recorded God’s Word to man (2 Peter 1:20-21) without error in the whole or in the part (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16). 

TRINITY

We Believe, that there is but one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4), an infinite, all-knowing Spirit (John 4:24), perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)—each equally deserving worship and obedience. 

God the Father. We believe that God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace (Psalm 145:8-9; 1 Corinthians 8:6). He is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1-31; Ephesians 3:9). As the only absolute and omnipotent Ruler in the universe, He is sovereign in creation, providence, and redemption (Psalm 103:19; Romans 11:36). 

God the Son. We believe that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, possesses all the divine excellencies, and in these He is coequal, consubstantial, and coeternal with the Father (John 10:30; 14:9). 

God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, eternal, underived, possessing all the attributes of personality and deity.  In all the divine attributes He is coequal and consubstantial with the Father and the Son (Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; 28:25-26; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Jeremiah 31:31-34 with Hebrews 10:15-17). 

CHURCH 

We Believe, the church is a distinct spiritual entity established by Christ, composed of all believers reborn in the current era, with Christ as its leader and all renewed individuals as its members. Each church is independent and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. We believe the autonomy of the local church, free from any external authority or control, with the right of self-government and freedom from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations (Titus 1:5). 

We believe that local churches, gather for practical instruction in the scriptures, for fellowship with God and with other believers. We believe, a  divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the fourfold purpose of leading the Church in: (1) worship of God (John 4:23,24), (2) building a Body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11,16), and (3) Meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion (Psalms 112:9; Galatians 2:10; 6:10; James 1:27).  (4) evangelization of the world  (Mark 16:15-20).  it is the fundamental duty of the local church’s members to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those yet to find salvation. Ephesians 2:19–22; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 5:19–21; Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:23–25 

We believe, the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

(1) Baptism in Water. The ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded in the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47,48; Romans 6:4). 

(2) Holy Communion. The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements—bread and the fruit of the vine—is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26); and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26); and is enjoined on all believers “till He come!” 

MAN

We Believe, man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26,27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19). Man was also created by God as either male or female, biologically defined and distinct sexes (Genesis 1:27; 2:5-23; 1 Corinthians 11:11-15; Romans 1:26-27) set by God for each individual (Psalm 139:13-14). Confusion between the two is an abomination to Him (Leviticus 18:22; Deuteronomy 22:5; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). 

We believe that God’s intention in the creation of man was that man should glorify God, enjoy God’s fellowship, live his life in the will of God, and by this accomplish God’s purpose for man in the world (Isaiah 43:7; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 4:11). 

We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9

We Believe that all human life is sacred from conception to its natural end, and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of all humanity. Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10

SALVATION OF MAN

We Believe, that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again spiritually, and that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe, also, that our redemption has been accomplished by the grace of God, an unmerited gift, given in love by God and not the result of any human works. John 3:17-18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Romans 4:4-5 

REGENERATION

We Believe, that regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which the divine nature and divine life are given (John 3:3-7; Titus 3:5). It is instantaneous and is accomplished solely by the power of the Holy Spirit through the instrumentality of the Word of God (John 5:24) when the repentant sinner, as enabled by the Holy Spirit, responds in faith to the divine provision of salvation. 

JUSTIFICATION 

We Believe, that justification before God is an act of God (Romans 8:33) by which He declares righteous those who, through faith in Christ, repent of their sins (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 11:18; Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Isaiah 55:6-7) and confess Him as sovereign Lord (Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 12:3; 2 Corinthians 4:5; Philippians 2:11). This righteousness is apart from any virtue or work of man (Romans 3:20; 4:6) 

SANCTIFICATION

We Believe, sanctification is the process of being set apart from evil and consecrated to God, as outlined in Romans 12:1,2 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23. The Scriptures advocate a life of sanctity, essential for seeing the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). It is through the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can heed the call to sanctity, as stated in 1 Peter 1:15,16. 

In the life of a believer, sanctification is achieved by acknowledging their unity with Christ in His death and resurrection. This is done by daily affirming this bond through faith and consistently surrendering all aspects of one’s being to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, as described in Romans 6:1-11,13; 8:1,2,13; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 2:12,13; and 1 Peter 1:5. 

ANGELS

We Believe, that angels are created beings and are therefore not to be worshiped. Although they are a higher order of creation than man, they are created to serve God and to worship Him (Luke 2:9-14; Hebrews 1:6-7, 14; 2:6-7; Revelation 5:11-14; 19:10; 22:9). 

Fallen Angels. We believe that Satan is a created angel and the author of sin. He incurred the judgment of God by rebelling against his Creator (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19), by taking numerous angels with him in his fall (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 12:1-14), and by introducing sin into the human race by his temptation of Eve (Genesis 3:1-15). 

We believe that Satan is the open and declared enemy of God and man (Isaiah 14:13-14; Matthew 4:1-11; Revelation 12:9-10); that he is the prince of this world, who has been defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 16:20); and that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10). 

BLESSED HOPE

We Believe, the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52). 

The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27,30; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6). This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel (Ezekiel 37:21,22; Zephaniah 3:19,20; Romans 11:26,27) and the establishment of universal peace (Isaiah 11:6-9; Psalm 72:3-8; Micah 4:3,4). 

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43- 48; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8). 

“We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21,22).
